You asked for it - MORE SQUASH! New types this time!
I already hooked Jake up Stephen - no need for you to be handing out pity Squash.
I had/am having a moment of rage this morning. I checked the tracking and it "arrived" in Mesquite this morning. However, it then said that there is an "exception" on the shipment. I called UPS and they said it had something to do with the freight train running out of hours or some BS like that. It was supposed to be delivered today, but now the tracking is still showing the exception.
Sigh - I probably should have expected this. The sequel to "The Never Ending Story" could be based upon this whole situation.

LMAO wow, thanks John
It's pretty much here, just not out for delivery.
FYI for guys who are curious about UPS: I learned after talking to the UPS customer service that when it says "Arrival Scan" and then has the city and time - that may or may not be when it ACTUALLY arrived. That is just when they expect it to arrive. I always thought that if it said scanned that it was actually....you know...physically scanned. I never knew it was simply an estimate/when it was supposed to be scanned.
Just a little knowledge there - because knowledge is power.

good estimators... but like any guess... there's always a chance it could be wrong...
think about how much they have to coordinate... the fact that they rarely get it wrong is rather impressive...
my uncle is an employee of the brown, we always get good stories of some of their insanity

^ Oh, no doubt man. I have huge respect for UPS/FedEx and what they do. The sheer volume always amazes me when you think about it.
I was just confused since this was an exception that I have NEVER seen or heard of. When he told me the train "ran out of hours", I envisioned the freight train having a giant gear that had to be wound up like a toy. Either that, or the train conductor just felt like he had driven long enough and randomly stopped the train in the middle of nowhere since his shift/hours were up. lol

probably the later... truck drivers and train operators are regulated to the number of hours they work with very documented breaks... the regulations help manage the operators' schedule so they don't fall asleep at the wheel... TONS of regulations
I'm still mad at UPS because the small Item I ordered shipped from mansfield TX and took a WEEK to get to me instead of the normal DAY because they decided to ship it to Amarillo first.
I wouldn't say that that's the norm...usually shipments within TX only take a day or two. I used to have stuff shipped from Plano down to College Station all the time. That sounds more like it accidentally got thrown on the wrong truck or got sorted inaccurately.
lets put it this way, I've ordered from this place around 20 times, always get it next day if I order it before 1 or 2 because the business is right by the sorting facility. I needed something fast and I got it very much later than the norm I had expected.
