You guys will NOT believe what happened today....I still can't get over this.
SO, the order was supposed to show up today (per my earlier post). Well...I checked the tracking this morning and there was ANOTHER exception on the tracking. What the fack does "shipment intercepted/terminated" mean?
I called UPS customer service and they kind of gave me the run-around for a bit. I got pissed and basically told them to shoot me straight or transfer me to their supervisor. Apparently that did the trick and they basically told me that the UPS truck was in the middle of a stand-off. The driver had been on probation for negligent and erratic behavior the past few months and today was the final straw for him. He parked his UPS truck right in the middle of an intersection and proceeded to get out of his truck. Angry drivers who were held up called UPS and reported seeing the driver carrying a large bottle of Hypnotiq and a lighter. In a moment of rage, likely due to his low self-esteem and general anger at the number of times that he had been bit by dogs while delivering shipments, the driver created a make-shift molotov cocktail and threw it at his truck. He then ripped off his uniform, revealing a pair of jorts and a Miami Heat t-shirt.
Needless to say, all of the packages were destroyed. However, the drivers who were stuck in traffic did report a very strong and oddly pleasing smell.
I don't know what to tell you guys. Perhaps if the Mavs hadn't dominated Miami, this wouldn't have sent the guy over the edge. Maybe it was fate. Maybe we just aren't meant to have JDM air freshness, y0. Whatever the reason, I truly apologize. I am ashamed and embarrassed. Please excuse me while I go punish myself....in front of my shrine to Vin Diesel and The Rock.
