Opinions plz chime in....

So I have gotten the bug to spend again. I am looking at getting the Inven front bumper but unsure what sides or rear to go with it. I def like the chargespeed and the strafe rears. What are your opinions on what flows best? I have looked at so many pics it makes me dizy. I know I definitely will go with the stretch look when I get to wheels and tires so I want it all to tie in nicely. My other question is which to go with poly or fg? I can see benefits to both right now I am leaning towards fg since it can be repaired easily...

poly is a lot more durable, but FG is a lot cheaper to fix... i usually opt for poly as long as you know you're getting it from a reputable company. FG is easy to mod to fit well, poly is not as easy, so you wanna get a good quality one... that's my opinion.

also, there's lots of guys on here with Inven's, and i'm sure you've seen pics. they can chime in, but that's my fave bumper. if it waerent for my intercooler, i woulda got that bumper.

I have the Inven front and sport sides and it is baller IMO!

You can't go wrong with impul sides either but the downside to impul is that it's very common. It still doesn't take away from them looking great with the inven though

I think knowing what your direction for your overall build would help as well.. Are you going to change the paint? Introduce fenders? Hood or trunk? Carbon Fiber?

I think that all comes into play if you're going to change the look of the exterior..

Also, because you're thinking about stancing out your ride, you are going to be limited in the side skirts you'd want.. Greddy is notorious for being very low on the sides.. Normally lower than the front and rear.

There's a lip built into the Inven and one also built into the Chargespeed, that's why I went w/ the Impul sides, because they too have that flare on the side and it makes that uniform all the way around the car. However, I have seen other variations where it makes sense too.. Some have decided to go w/ INGS sides w/ the Impul front, and it looks damn good as well.. It really depends on the personality of the car, and how sporty/luxury your wheels are going to be. I think lowering your car to where you want it to be and getting the wheels you envision are a better step first, because you don't want to be limited to how low you can go by your bodykit.

Just my .02.

You made some valid points...I'm not looking to change the paint might do a hood def do Strafe trunk, and no on the carbon fiber look. Wheels are a hard choice now like anyone else I love the looks of T1s, SF Winnings, etc but I hate to dish out the coin for them. I do know I want at least a 10" wide front wheel and a 11 in the rear. On the side skirts I have to admit the Impul sides are nice and are at the top of my list. I hate anything that isn't uniform.....meaning if the sides look lower then the front or rear it's got to go. As for how low it will stay in touch with mother Earth quit often. Since I rarely drive the car I see no point in not dumping it. I am still looking at pics for ideas but some make it difficult to really see how things line up from the various angles.

I have to agree 100% with Tony. If you don't want to shell out the coin for those wheels, then look into alternatives or replica wheels that look just the same

Concept 1 wheels offer similar designs to the T1S and SF Winnings that you love so much, at around 2k for all four, if I remember right.

I do believe B2AutoDesigns here on Driver offer these wheels so I would suggest sending them a message.

As for your original question, Inven bumpers flow nice with sport sides, impul sides, and kenstyle sides.

And as for the FG or Poly, I personally think that the amount of force to break FG is about the same as the force to break Poly.. My FG kit has been pretty durable.. When you're driving a lowered car or a car w/ a kit, you tend to drive slower anyway, so you're not going to hit a dip or hole w/ enough force to break either poly or FG if you're driving at a cautious speed..

THAT BEING SAID!!! I prefer FG simply in the rare case that I do park too close to a curb, or settle down too hard on a speed bump, and do crack or stress something, you CAN repair FG, whereas you are more inclined to purchase a whole new part for the same damage to a Poly piece..

Stephen (R1Forever80) does know how to plastic weld, and he's a master w/ paint, so if you just have to have Poly parts, you do have a safety net.

You also have to consider the parts you're getting and how one material might fit better than another or color match.. I know the Poly impuls, since that's seems to be the route you're going, fit better than the FG impuls, so you might want to even have a combo w/ the bumpers vs sides..

I would say get the impul sides if you're getting inven front because impul sides flow SO good with inven front

Like I said.. Us that have FG Impuls know that the poly fit better (we found this out AFTER we purchased) So if you got that route, I'd recommend the poly sides..

Honestly though, there really isn't a whole lot of advantages in getting poly sides unless you don't know how to angle your car properly. I can see how this argument would stick with a poly bumper or a fiberglass bumper.

I have fiberglass sides and have yet to damage them or crack them. But if you're just interested in just the fitment side of it, then you the poly ones from Arch Industries fit really well, but you're going to pay a bit more for them since they are poly.

My fiberglass sides fit pretty well, overall fitment would probably be an 8.5/10 and unless you really pay attention, you're not going to really notice where it doesn't fit properly.

Understandable...I will probably stick to one or the other mainly to make sure the paint shades match and what not. Will still be a bit before I finally decide. Thank you for your input...

Yeah.. Stephen can chime in on this one.. When you're doing color matching, certain colors are almost IMPOSSIBLE to match 100% too..

DP is one of those colors.. Because it's several shades mixed.. If you can't leave your car when it's time to paint, give them something like a gas cap door so they can ensure the shades match..

When you post pics of your new kit, just be prepared "someone" will undoubtedly say, "your bumper color is off a tad," or something of the sort.. Guess that makes them feel better about themselves.

We all understand since we've gotten work done as well, but it happens everytime.
