Only way to seriously increase your skillz is to shoot..

So I created a flickr group for a project 365 that starts tomorrow (well mine does, you can join at any time really, just shoot for a year)

Just click the link and join w/ your flickr account.. if you don't have one, make one.. it's free, or you can upgrade to a pro account if you wanna do more w/ it.

You take an original photo for a year. Self portrait, anything, flash, no flash, whatever, even a cell phone pic will do (as a fall back to ensure you're shooting daily) We're also going to have some themed weeks just to switch things up and push the creativity.. Critiques will be welcome, but the object is to get BETTER at photography.. This is NOT a contest.. It's a personal journey to become a better photographer period.

It's really going to take dedication to stick to this.. I know people that get a week in and then get "too busy"..

Trying to get really quality photos from everyone.. We'll be leaning on one another for ideas when we draw a blank.. I and you can come up w/ weekly themes and stuff too just to mix it up and keep it interesting.

We'll only see growth if we push ourselves..

It sounds easy.. "one pic a day for a year" but man.. if you're really trying to grow, it can be a task.. Can't really measure growth by using cam phone pics every time.. So if one has to be used just to get your pic in for the day, I'd hope to see a really good one the next day to make up for the "slacker" attempt.. I know folks get busy.. It's NOT a contest.. Just truly an excuse to shoot.. Only way to get better..
