damn.... errbody getting rid of their cars
The scene just sucks now.. bunch of young morons. And of course there are always exceptions to that but the majority are idiots now.
lol you guys are just like old people constantly complaining about things "note being like they used to be" when your not doing anything proactively to make the community better. IMO talking about things like this just kills morale all together. Dont ruin it for the rest of us
there's people still around such as myself that love their car and still have a lot to learn.

lol... that's funny. That was just an example. The chicks take notice but I am old enough to be an uncle or something for most of em.

and jae, trust me people havce tried to "make things happen". we tried getting people together for meets, but there was always some lame *** excuse to not show up.
i didnt say the scene is dead there, but no one is helping it, and it will be. a scene doesnt rely on people sitting on the web and searching for what they can do to their cars, it relies on meets, and doing stuff together for meets. granted, i know the winter is always kinda downtime, but even before then.
and fyi, i dont even live there anymore, so i dont really care much anymore. and the point of this thread was originally to say that people do stupid stuff to their car and then decide to sell it cause they went all mod-happy. I've been guilty of that too, but have come to terms with it now! haha

i think it also has t odo with financial situation, age, etc. i know at Motorola, i was making good $ and i outgrew the g quick. I wanted something a little less "racer boy", ie the c63 AMG or CTS-V, but now that i'm back to making average pay, i'm keeping it and hoping nothing goes wrong. until i start making more $ that is.
Well, I guess I am the odd ball of this group because I bought my G sedan from my father (who bought it new in 03) because he wanted to trade it for a newer car. I gave up my 4 year old VW to purchase his 03 sedan with 110K on it. Now, it spends a good chuck of time at the dealer as they breath life back into it aka it has turned into a money pit. I do not regret my decision because it drives so much better than my POS VW and it still brings a smile to face when I gun it. Nor did I purchase this vehicle to grab the attention of women. It was just too good of a car to leave the family just yet. I am only sad that it is only a matter of time I cannot buy her back from the dealership. So, I am going to enjoy the time I got left and I have already started planning on purchasing a new nissan/Infiniti. The only problem with that is that the price has gone up quite a bit on these cars.
Since I don't look at threads outside of the ones I'm already subscribed to, I never saw this one... I didn't really want to get rid of mine many moons ago, but it just made sense considering the situation. I bought it planning to get rid of it, but I do miss it sometimes. Future changes in my garage will help that problem though
