Post Today is a very very bad day for JD

Guys, I might be MIA for a good while...I'm having to do a lot of things today and get everything situated. My 2 coworkers and I are losing our jobs on 12/30. I'll still try to make it out to Randy's and I guess da track days since I paid already....

Nice nuff of da co. to say...happy thanksgiving, merry xmas and happy new year...now get da fuuuuuc out....lol

Not sure if I'll be able to secure another position at the co. with the same pay or find another. I'm still recuperating from the income loss from my prior co. and I can't afford another cut.

If anyone knows of any positions in sales / account mgmt / benefits administration, health insurance, please let me know.

Thnx,
JD

JD - That sucks man. Sorry to hear about that. I'll ask around on my side to see if anyone knows anything about open positions in those areas.

P.S. - I'm in Vegas right now so I'll have a few in your honor (no, not hookers or lap dances...drinks!).

JD,

Go to the TI website. I saw this posting internally a few months ago and looks like it is external now (meaning they didn't find anybody yet).

The TI website is a bit antiquated so you will need to go to http://www.ti.com/recruit/docs/us/dallasmetroplex.shtml

Click on "Complete List of TI Employment Opportunities", then search for Benefits Specialist. Submit your resume. The following is the description:

----

Job Title:
Benefits Specialist
Location:
Dallas, TX
Reference:
024734

Job Duties:
Benefits Specialist

Location: Dallas, Texas
Group: Human Resources (Benefits)
Degree Requirements: Bachelor's

You'll have visibility with all levels of management and other business groups in this exciting position! Our group works as a team, and our members are available to help one another as needed at any time. Come join us.

As a Benefits Specialist for our group, you'll ensure company compliance with federal and state laws. Specific responsibilities include:
- Financial analysis of claims data, contract terms, etc.
- Managing one or more suppliers.
- Handling escalated benefit inquiries and complaints to ensure quick and equitable resolution.
- Managing eligibility feeds between vendors.
- Contacting competitor companies to collect benchmarking data on health and welfare plans.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience in benefits and a financial background. This specialist must be extremely knowledgeable of DOL regulations regarding benefits, including ERISA, HIPAA, and COBRA.

We're searching for a self-motivated person who needs very little supervision. Advanced Excel skills (including, Pivot tables, Lookup, advanced formulas) are needed.
Knowledge of website design will be useful.

This specialist will interact with peer groups from various departments, as well as all levels of management, retiree groups, and suppliers and will need to present and educate employee and manager groups on employee benefits during the annual enrollment period. There will be minimum travel to other business groups for program education, annual enrollment support, etc.
