I still don't see a 60' time. The right launch makes all the difference. That's probably why you're seeing dissappointing times. 75 degrees is in no way hot outside and humidity @ LACR isn't bad at all usually. Try running in the summer heat in TX w/ Houston's humidity Now that's a bitch.

LACR is around 2000ft. elevation and in the thin/hot desert air...
Ive ran usually between .5 to 1 sec. SLOWER at LACR...
compared w/ carlsbad, pomona, fontana, or bakersfield...
Been tempted to try Irvindale @ night(thursdays) but its only 1/8th mile
LACR has discouraged many drivers/tuners alike...
next time try unbolting the seats, removing the sway bars(for weight transfer)
run RACE gas, bump up the front air press. for low rolling resistance..
good luck

I wouldn't get too discouraged. EVERY car I've read about going to LACR runs dismal times. It just can't be the elevation because 2,000 isn't extremely terrible, but the track seems to make cars perform as if they were running at 4,000-5,000'. If I live in LA, I wouldn't even consider LACR. Some tracks are just faster than others. Go to a coastal/sea level track like ATCO in the cool months with high baro pressures and you'll be pulling off stellar times, even with crap 60 foots.
When the conditions is really good at a sea level track, the density altitude (oxygen density) can often be in the -1,000 to -1,500' range. That means the motor is making about 104-106% power. When my G sedna with Z-pipe ran it's 14.3-14.4@97-98mph, the track was at 800', but the conditions were equal to ~-100' below sea level. Prior to the 14.3s, the car ran 14.4-14.5@96-97mph in 1,100' air.
Conditions make all the difference.

Whats the fastest 1/4 mile time for a completly stock 04 stock 6mt anyone has seen? I have a bet with a friend that i go high 13's but still 13's.... possible? and is the sway bar thing really worth doing? like where would i do this? is it safe to drive on the highway with if off? btw im a pretty good driver.... i jus want to kno if its possible... and also should i empty my trunk or is that a bad idea bc i will have to launch at a lower rpm.... my tires are pretty bald.... stock piolets but i would think on the track it may make more contact.... i dunno just a thought. also i was thinking going test pipes

The dust and distance (from my house) are two MAJOR factors that keep me from visiting LACR often. It is ridiculous how filthy the car gets!!! The dust is so fine you can barely see it while at the track - but the next day - Oh My GAWD!!! A layer of very fine dust ALL OVER the car inside and out and in engine compartment!!!! It plain SUX!
Rant over - just my .02
BTW, my best time there was 15.00 (equates to 14.5 at sea level) - that was mid summer temps in the low 90's... 04 AT sedan.
