Best Way to Drag G35c 6mt specifically?

I notice the newbie articles but what is the best way to drag the g35c 6mt specifically? I'm new so i've heard of "dropping the clutch" is it basically revving up to 3000-4000 rpm and just letting go of the clutch? how bad is that for your car/tranny?

It's not the best thing for the tranny/clutch... I've ran my G over 20 times at the track from last summer and it's still engaging... But i think u should take the launch down to about 3K... Dont go higher because u just slip tire and get too much wheel hop...Plus our clutches aren't too strong and I've run into spinning my clutch... I launch mine right around 3K and my best time is 13.9 at 104...

Only redline first gear to set up for 2nd, but after that i shift at 6800... Our HP starts dropping after that... What times are u getting? I got injen intake, and MREV... MAke sure if ur using an aftermarket intake to clean the filter before u go out... Really helps out...

haven't tried the track quite yet, just got the car 3-4 days ago, getting the hang of everything and just getting prepared for the track

not sure if i'm going to mod anything to be honest, i had a civic and had the injen, kit , exhaust and everything and it was such a pain to maintain everything...... maybe i'll just get the z tube? not sure if it's worth it though

so the best way to lunch is sit at 3000rpm and then just release the clutch?

Do u dump the clutch or feather it till u get rid of the wheel spin?

Your technique will depend on track conditions and available traction. You will need to experiment with different rpms and how you release the clutch. If you get wheelspin drop your rpms the next time or feather the clutch and see how that goes. If the car bogs you will need to raise your launch rpms. Good luck and have fun!

SWEET just lunch a manual car for the first time, first i didn't understand why the car felt so bogged, then it made sense VDC was on!! once that was off, was able to pull some nice launches.......

1st gear to redline or 6800? since it was my first time, seemed a little scary cause never reved first gear so high, sounded really high pitched
