Got new times

My 2nd time out with my 06' G35C. I think I learned to drive it a little better plus this time I have Injen True Dual Exhaust, test pipes and Injen CAI.

My old time:

14.6@96

My time I got today:

13.9@101 on a 2.18 60ft. I think I can improve a little more as I learn to launch the car better. My shifts and shift points are perfect now.

Needless to say, I'm happy with my new times.

Lots of smart asses on these forums I've noticed. (2006_G_Coupe)

I'm just saying, my first time out, I didn't have the shifts or right shift points. I was shifting to early and to slow. I definately didn't pick up that much from those mods alone.

Good job man, ignore the smart asses. I know the feeling, even when u shave off 0.1 second u feel excited. NICE times. What were the weather conditions elevation etc.?

Elevation is around 800ft. and was 60ish degrees.

I got some wheel hop when I launched, so I had to let off some to stop that. I think with more seat time I can shave another tenth or two off.

Now all you need is a license plate that reads-LT1-ETR

Because that time would smoke most Camaro/Firebirds with the LT1 engine. Good stuff!

If you are being sarcastic, it doesn't make sense. If your not, it doesn't make sense either.

I've had 3 lt1 cars and have been in a few f-body clubs. Those cars typically run mid to low 14's stock, especially the pre-96 cars. I've known a few bolt on cars that couldn't quite make it out of the 14's also. Of course I'm just talking about the stock or near stock cars. Just take it as a compliment

My 94 Z28 auto with an I/E, y-pipe, and ECU did fairly consistent 13.5s@103mph. Stock, it went 14.3s@98mph....like my G35 auto. Of course the LT1 is severely choked from the factory and it makes strong gains from simple bolt-ons. My friend was doing 12.7s@108mph with I/E/H/cam and 3.73s in his 95 auto. With a stall converter, he would easily go 12.4s@110mph. Gs have a long way to go to match the potential of an LT1 car.

That's why I said stock or near stock. You're right, LT1's definitely have more potential in the long run, and a lot more aftermarket support at that. My 97 Z went 14.2 stock and dropped to 14.0 with cai and free mods. Now the LS1, that's a whole new ballpark
