g35 coupe vs. 2000audi s4???question
Hey,
I was just wondering who would win between the two because my friend just got one. Well give me some input and let me know what you think. My car is a 2004 6mt g coupe.....and his is just a stock 2000 s4.....

If its STOCK then u will win if not then forget it.
I think it will probably come down to driver. Stock S4's were low 14 second cars IIRC. My bet is that he will probably take you off the line because of the AWD but you'll slowly gain on him as you reach the 1/4 mile.
S4's are very easy to modify though...

Considering its a B5, you probably might still have a slight edge if you were rev-up. It's still a driver's race.
Best I've seen a B5 S4 do is 14.1 @ 99 mph; Don't quote me on the trap speed, because thats only what I recall.
Just make sure you don't race a B6 or B7.
Take it to the track, and see how you perform against him.

I have 2 friends that both own S4s both are running stage 2 setups and they barely have 1/4 a car on me by the time we hit 100...Its a good race, i have an auto they both have manuals so half the time i win because they miss the "perfect" shift point or they mis shift. Wouldnt say half the time, but you get the point.

But I'm sure that the B5's have a ton of mods in their arsenol! They've been out for a while, so its not a surprice. Simply tunes give an FI car so much more potential.
If he gets owned, blame it on the driver, or he's hiding something from the OP

Unless he launches at 5000rpms, you'll smoke him. Like WRXs and EVOs, the 2.7TT S4 needs a lot of rpm to take advantage of it's launch. Without the launch, it will bog off the line and will run upper 14s. The question is will your friend risk that pricey clutch to beat a g35.
