First time at Miami Countyline Dragway.

Well, last night I finally decided to head to the local 1/8 mile track here in Miami, FL with some friends. My expectations were a little higher than what I experienced with that track, but oh well. I started running at around 7:30pm and the times were so bad, I'm not even going to mention them. They had just treated the surface and we were warming and drying it for them, I felt like I was driving something really powerful because every time I shifted to second it was like driving on ice, shifting to third was almost the same.
A few hours later, it was better. It was spinning only second gear and if I got of the gas and then got back on it, it would grip and let me finish the run. Doing this, my best was:
22-Jun-07, around 9:00pm, Temp. 86 F, Humidity 53%, BA press 29.95 and the track altitude is about 50 feet (sea level I guess).

This run was against a 350Z.

It's on US-27 past the Krome Ave. before you get to Broward county. http://www.countylinedragwayinc.com/

I'll go again soon. I'm waiting on the Uprev OSIRIS reflash. I went last night to compare the diference. maybe next week.

Yes, I was there from 7:00pm until about 12:30am. It was my little brother's birthday so I was letting him have fun all night on my other car. I ran the G a few times too, it was doing pretty good against that other blue 350z with drag radials on. I saw you car too. You were the only other coupe out there. It was fun. What were you running?

I really welcomed the practice that I got this time. I'm going again next Friday to practice some more. I'm still a little rusty. Anybody want to join?

well ive been there before and i ran consistent 9.4's with stock tires, no exhaust or kand n drop in or z tube.. i wanted to know what i would run after all that.. first run i forgot traction control cause i turned my car off right before the race to let it cool some.. so i got a 9.8.. then 2nd run.. i shot the light so i just cruised and got a 10.6 then 3rd one i started spinning so i let off and gunned it too much and spun again.. so then i let off and just cruised again and got another 10.6.. soooo.. i was pisseddd! i onyl got 3 runs.. and i wasted 3 runs and messed up on all of them. What u running? what mods?

A 9.27 is good for roughly a 14.3 in the 1/4 mile. Not a bad run for that kind of weather. In cooler temps, you should legitimently expect 14.0-14.1s.

Nice. What was you average 60ft time? I found myself spinning second gear a lot. I'm going tonight again to practice some more.

Damn! On my way to the track, around 7:30pm, somebody jumped in front of my friend's Mustang and he ended up hitting the guard rail and wrecking. Needless to say, I had to wait for a few hours for the cops and couldn't go to track.
Well, I'm going tonight with my brother and other friends. Hopefully nothing happens. To bad I could go last night.
