Yea, when i mean stock, i mean stock anything, but with some weight reduction. When i get a G, soon... i will gut out the trunk. But keep the backseats and the interior. Hehe.

Back up! Anyone got any Dynojet numbers of the highest stock??

I plan to take my G when it gets colder to get the best times, probably in october or late september.

Its completely Stock right now.

One more thing, how is launching with these bad boys? Whats a good Launch to try? I would guess 5k? I noticed with heavier cars, its easier to get cars moving since all the power is high up on the power band, hwere you'll end up once you pop out the hole.

5K is a very high launch on the stock tires. There will be alot of wheel spin and you'll probably have to ease off the clutch alot slower than usual; dropping the clutch on our stock tires at 5000 RPM is basically doing a burnout.

I recommend you try a variety of different launches. From my experience, the sweet spot is between 2500 to 3500 on the stock tires. Depending at what RPM you launch, you will also have to try different ways of playing with the clutch during the launch.

A 5000K launch would be ideal only if traction wasn't an issue. Launching at maximum torque is the best way of launching if you had the right kind of tires.

Where is the max torque made with our cars?

Do you know what is the highest stock G35 power wise 03-04 on a dynojet? How about 05-up?

this is the fastest 07-08 time I have seen. 13.53 in an auto S

a manual should be able to go lower under the same conditions (great sea level track, cold/low humidity conditions), if the driver can execute a decent 60ft. that track (hrp) is notoriously fast and very well prepped

I have a 2005 G35 coupe 6MT.

My best time 100% bone stock was 14.05 @ 102.3mph on a 2.19 60ft. Full interior, street tires (OEM Potenzas), dirty paper filter lol. Only difference from the way it came off the showroom floor was removing the spare and jack, which have both been sitting in my upstairs closet since the first week I owned the car. No other weight reduction, mods, or alterations. This was on Hess 93 octane gas with just below 1/8 tank.

I put down 245whp/219wtq on a Dynojet recently with only mod being a JWT Popcharger & Ztube. But an intake isn't really known to give you much if any horsepower on these cars.

Damn dude! I wish you would have dyno'd a before and after with intake and with your JWT!

I am looking all over for any concrete evidence! People just it seems assume that intake does crap! But i havent found any dyno evidence, just a nice thread where a guys Trap(power) went higher, and quarter mile time was .1 lower. Probably more if he had more runs.

Also your car has more in it! You can break 13s, 2.0s is possible.

Take out the backseat and go with a quarter tank of gas! Thats what i plan to do when the time is right, hell close to E even lol!

Gas is HEAVY!!

Nah, I'm keeping the interior in. I like to run my car to see how it runs in the same trim I drive it in every day.

And why would would 1/4 tank be better than when I ran it on less than 1/8 tank?? lol

Haha. I didnt catch that, i skimmed what you wrote! My bad! But go back and you can do better! The back seats probably would be negligble(sp) weight anyways.

Try lowering the Tire PSI too. What PSI were you at? I would start at 20 and work your way down to about 17psi at most.

I have never even checked the pressure let alone adjusted it at all on the car since I got it. I'm not going to air down tires on 19" wheels... barely any sidewall as it is. The car would always bog if anything, its never really spun off the line much with full pressure so I don't feel the need to lower it.

Hate to break it to ya bud! But tire pressure is what helps in getting that traction, your car has 13.8 in her for sure! These cars can hit 2.0s with a good driver, tested tire pressure, and knowing how to get these things moving like a bat outta hell(messing with Launch RPM and clutch and gas modulation)!

And those 19s are forged lol its gonna take alot more than some low tire pressure to hurt them!

How many passes do you have on your car? Of those, how many are 2.0's on stock tires?

I dont have stock Tires, but i have Bridgestone KDW's, and i have yet to try my baby out at the track. I have been doing research on G35s and their motors. A buddy of mine cracked 1.9 on his 350z over at their website, and holds #2 for fastest stock time, veetec is his name. Ex Prelude owner and just knows how to drive awsome!

I plan to bring her when its cold to get the most out of her, probably october. Plus test and tunes are expensive like 30 bucks entrance fee lol. With that said here is some of my past cars and records.

I broke 2.1s with a 01 prelude when i owned it(ran 14.5 with still stock header and exhaust), that was damn good considering it was on the stock tires too, Potenza RE92s(17psi on the tires), and same goes with AVS ES 100s non-Drag Radials, real street tires on my old k20 hatchback i broke a 1.8 60ft FWD(15psi on the tires). I think i hold a record for that also. And that run spinning all the way til 3rd i hit a 12.70@111, should be 12.6xxx lol damn it!

I am confident i can break 2.0 with my G35 and some practice on a test and tune day. I am confident in this, because my driving proves it.

Also one more question, what is the most expensive set of headers on the market right now??

THat is close to impossible to go below 2.0 with street tires on the G35 with stock alignment specs. But i do wish u good luck.
