Need advice on what kind of helmet to get.

I already ordered a fire retatardant racing jacket and now I need a helmet per NHRA rules for Cali Speedway. I don't know how strict they are or how well they enforce the rules but I would rather be safe than sorry. I have my old helmet from back in the day when I used to drag my Civic. But it has a M90 rating which is way old and expired. Does anyone have any suggestions on a good helmet that isn't too expensive? Please post pix if possible along with the make and model. Thanks!

My friend let me "borrow" his motorcycle helmet about a year ago...but he's not getting it back... I think any helmet will do. They aren't too strict down here in FL.

I want to see some 12s out of that Vortech G!!!

How big's your head? I've got an awesome Shoei helmet (motorcycle) that just doesn't fit me right...

I got a pretty big head. What size is your helmet?? And what rating is it?? It has to be at least XL. My old helmet was XL and fit snug. XXL would probably be better but XL will fit.

This helmet's a L. You're welcome to try it out, it fits my head size, just not the head shape. Sizes vary a TON with different brands.

It meets Snell ratings, and it's about a year and a half old, but hasn't been worn in at least a year. It gets kept in cool, dry places inside its helmet bag. Looks like this:

Oh, and for reference, I wear somewhere around a 7 5/8" to 7 3/4" hat...

Hmmm . . . . okay. I wouldn't mind trying it on to see how it fits. How much do you want for it?

Bought it for, like, $350.......not used much at all, so $200 sounds pretty fair to me. PM me and we can work out a time for you to stop by and try it out.

Please bring the G. I have a handkerchief to catch the drool.
