I've been running the stock airbox for about a year. I threw the stillen airbox in there just to see how it would do in the cooler weather. Considering my utec was tuned with the airbox in place, I thought it might perform well.

Wrong.

Yeah, I showed up and the stillen was laying on the ground like it was an empty beer can. LOL

And to think, I've received so much grief over the years because I thought the Stillen CAI and most any other intake, doesn't work on these cars. I was told not to knock it if I didn't try it. You and Klubbheads have confirmed what I've suspected all along Either it doesn't make a difference or it might be worse for performance. In your case, it looks to be a bit a worse for performance.

next time I'm going to bring some of my noise resonating stuff.

I've also considered running air ducts from the front up to behind the intake box and into the bottom (where the resonators used to be)

It will either get fresh air in, or disrupt the airflow.... I can't decide which, so we'll test it out. LOL

If you think DRs are impressive, wait till you see what a set of 26" slicks can do.

trapping at 101mph is strong. I know you can get a 2.1 60ft out of that car with that set up: You do that and you have 13's for sure. However, after running a set of drag radials at my last track event, i dont ever want to even bother going to the drag strip without them. You should try a set, they work wonders

I already said I wanted a pair of slicks.

Yet I'm going to make sure I have a spare clutch and some other extra parts sitting around before I do that.
Traction is great for ET's, it's HELL on your drivetrain. LOL
