how much is the temp affecting my 1/4 time

so i ran last month at fontana and if i recall the temp was in the high 70s with intake and exhaust i ran my best time of 14.6 at 94 although my 60 ft times could use some work at 2.2-2.3.

saturday i ran again at fontana with an added old school crawfoird plenum. i was expecting 14.5 but with the heat of high 90s to 100 and a really strong head wind my best run time was a 14.7 at 93 with the same 60 ft times.

so i guess the question at hand is; does anybody know of some sort of chart that could show how temp would affect my time?

thanks.
Twilight

I don't think there is a chart that will show you what you are looking for but high temps definitely affect your times. That's one reason that I decided not to go to Cali Speedway last Saturday. You gotta wait for colder temps for best times.

The Density Altitude of the place during your runs will affect your times by a significant amount (Temperature, Altitude, Pressure, etc)

I calculated the DA's for the event @ noon and they were at 3969 feet... far from ideal conditions.

It's worth more than you probably think. The first time I took my G to the strip it was spring (low 70s, decent humidity, 900') and the car (z-tube only) went 14.49@97.3mph with a 2.20 60'. At the same track, I ran the car again in the fall (low 50s, low humidity) and it went 14.32@98.3mph with a 2.15 60'. No mods. Just good air. It's been my experience with VQ motors (heavily modded 96 Maxima, G35) are pretty tempermental with it come to conditions. For every 20 degrees or so change in temp, you can expect about a .15 second change in ET. With my Maxima, which had over 250 passes under it's belt over 4 years of racing, this is what I saw (same mods, same track):

90s, humid = 14.6-14.7@94mph
70s, slightly humid = high 14.4s-high 14.5s@97mph
50s, dry = low 14.3s-low 14.4s@99mph

i run an 8.8 when temps are in low 50's even low 60's but when they get higher than mid 70's to 80's its about 9.0-9.1....ive ran my g bout 400 times in past 2 years......its only an 1/8th mile track so multiply my time by 1.55 to figure 1/4mile..... my best is 8.790 at 82.43 mph in when it was 64 outside...that is equal to a 13.62 1/4 mile...

That seems to be a pretty accurate 1/4 mile estimate.. I've seen tons of 8.8 1/8th mile that turned into 13.7's
