GTs are not slow like people been saying. Even the previous model I have trouble with. I've raced a slightly modded GT newer and old and cannot beat neither of my friends from a stop, 5mph roll, 60mph dont matter

You don't need full bolt-ons + tune to "hang with them". But alot of people here are really under estimating the capabilities on the S197's.

The S197 is a few tenths of a second quicker than the G35. They run similar times to the 05-06 6MT 350z's. They are also better suited at the drag strip than our VQ's. (They don't have much problems hooking up like we do).

This is all assuming stock for stock, because a full bolt-on S197 is alot faster than a full bolt-on VQ35DE. (Nothing surpricing since V8's usually respond alot better to modifications than a high compressed V6)

You mean strip... not track... I am pretty sure a G35 would track a whole lot better than a GT (Most tracks that involve more than 2 turns lol)... I have driven a GT before and they handle like crap.... good ol american cars...

your poop charger is going provide the extra bit of poopulsion to make the difference. I'm assuming you'll weigh a bit less, too.

Lol GrayG35, i know i kind of set myself up for that one. ^_^ . I remember off a light i spanked a GT 5 speed, it was a kid driving it. He didnt seem to shift too good but from first to second he chirped tires. I guess he was pretty good or decent. Regardless, i took him by half a car, and i had my wife in the car, she was playing the my stick at the time while i was playing with the G;s stick lol

You'll definitely need to add some bolt ons and tune. My roommate has an 07 with exhaust, tune and intake. Just with those few mods it can definitely hit mid to low 13s. And off the line they are definitely faster. The 0-60 time on a stock one can be as low as 4.9 secs
