I've seen plenty run here in Southern California. And have yet to see one break past 13.7 stock. And that's also with drivers who, just by watching them drive, have alot of drag racing experience.
It's all relative. In a place where an HR Z will run low 13's stock (with the 1.9 60ft the driver usually has to get to achieve that time), a stock HR G35 Sedan & G37 Coupe could run mid 13's. And a stock G35 6MT (DE) has the potential to run high 13's.

IMO, going to a slow track seems like a total waste of cash.
But I see tracks just like dyno's. It's not the number itself I care about, but how I compare to those around me and how much I can improve on it. Then, its worth every single penny of my money. Especially when im having a great time.
That's the way we have to see it down here. Again, it's all relative to where you're at...

What's the "potential" of the VQ-35?

I must have gotten a Friday @ 5pm VQ engine...my POS '06 won't go below 14.4. The 20" heavy *** wheels don't help the situation any, it has the injen intake, the HKS exhaust, test pipes, and a JWT flywheel /w exedy clutch. All I get is wheel spin/hop. 2.4 60ft and no more than 95 mph in the 1/4. I'm quite disappointed. I can only attribute it to the car since I'm such a great driver (NOT)... But I assure you it must be a combination of both or actually all three (the track here sucks for traction, no prep whatsoever during the week for test and tune, only for events).

Your stock 102mph pass isn't the norm, but it's believable on a good track, under good conditions, and possibly a tailwind. Your 14.0@102mph wasdone at Cecil, which is arguably one of the quicker tracks in the nation. The density altitude for 4/16/08 was 17', air density was at 100%, and your engine was making 104.5% of normal power. It was an ideal day to race and conditions were largely responsible for why your car was obtaining those types of trap speeds.
