VDC off and brake torque if you wish. Check tire pressure all around, race with a 1/4 tank of premium brand name gas. And use manual mode because you will be able to hold through 3rd gear as you cross the 1/4 mile...if you leave it in auto it will shift into 4th right as you approach the end which will hurt your ET time. Tap the shifter at 6100 RPMs for 2nd and 3rd. Although I heard MM cuts timing before it shifts, my ETs were .1-.2 faster using MM.

I'm not trying to sound rude at all, but just go out there, race, and find out.

Not meeting expectations can be depressing if you don't calculate the many factors that will affect the outcome.

For a G35x, considering its weight and tranny, I would say anywhere from mid 14's to mid 15's (from very optimistic to very conservative, depending on the conditions). That's a big range but its hard to really estimate a proper time without really knowing the conditions of the track.

I'm not trying to sound rude at all, but if you would have bothered to even read the two posts previous to yours you would understand that somebody has already said that and he is waiting for the strip to open. All we are doing is hashing this out b/c there is snow on the ground.....

I read it

I don't see how "theoretical" predictions help at all in the real world unless we have a lot more info of the track conditions (altitude, density altitude, issues that might affect traction, etc).

Sea level (22 feet actually) Around 50% RH, 50 degrees, Will be saturday around noon, track surface is usually prepped well. I typically cut .500-.600 lights and 2.1 60 footers with a RWD car on street tires with a manual trans.

Yes i realize there are a lot of factors, but the point of this thread wasn't to dial it in to the exact tenth of a second. I was just trying to see if any "X" owners had run their cars and wondering how they did and what their method was. I was just hoping to learn from their expierence before I head to the track in April and make some passes on my own.
