Clutch is heavy, but that goes for pretty much every V8 muscle car I've ever driven. I guess I was just used to my King Cobra clutch and B&M Ripper, it didn't really bother me. Although stepping into my friend's G37s and driving that is a totally different clutch. If I could've gotten my hands on a cheap Termie I would've

That's cuz it's a cable clutch. In 2005 they went to a hydraulic clutch.

To be honest i prefer the clutch cable type. Sure it's a little heavier, but my left thight is huge now

Actually, since i've had a few knee surgeries, i'm actually converting my Mustang to a hydraulic clutch just to make it a little easier on the knee.

But i remember when i test drove a 6MT i almost put my foot through the floorboard pressing on the clutch! It took a few miles to get used to it.

If I would have gone that route I would gladly line it up b/c that vette is nothing a KB or Whippled Cobra couldn't stand up to....thx for asking though
When the QX is paid for that'll be next....

I'd take a second thought on that one. If I'm not mistaken he's got a Procharger in there (maybe Vortech?) and well over 500whp and a few hundred pounds lighter than the Termie. A whippled Termie with supporting mods may hit upper 500whp range, but run pretty much similar to the Vette unless there are major suspension mods. The trap speeds are pretty similar if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, you'd need a serious Termie with driver mod to take on that Z06.

True, although a real Mustang fan like myself could never publicly admit it.... That's why Ford/Chevy is such a good rivalry- it's all the trash talk lol.......

Edit:Not just being an a** that saying is famous among cobra owners

One of my friends had an '04 Screaming Yellow termi putting down 512HP to the rear wheels. He had coil-overs and other suspension work. He never ran it in the 1/4 mile though. He Autocrossed it every weekend!!

He used to take fastest lap time of the day with it all the time too. I've ridden with him....only time i've ever actually wanted to puke when riding in a car. He'd do 50MPH, slam on the brakes, whipe a 180* turn and be up to 50MPH again in seconds in the opposite direction. Damn car was the best handling Mustang i've ever ridden in

Yes he did. He could def drive. He also had a Shelby Cobra replica prior to the Cobra.

Sadly, he sold the Cobra...and bought a Miata. He gutted it and slapped a roots style supercharger on it and autocrosses that now. Now he's taking fastest lap by an even wider margin.

I was thinking of AutoXing the G this year for the hell of it since my Mustang is currently apart while I mod it up.

AutoX is the most fun you can have in a car with your pants on

The clutch was changed for the Shelby's and in talking to a friend that has an 03 and a 08 he said there was night and day differences between the two...I know the Shelby's had more power than the 03/04's but they weigh more also so it's a wash.

He road races his Shelby and said the same thing...he takes road racing over drag racing any day of the week but the rear brakes wear out fast!

I thought I saw a show on speed or something where they had a 04 and like an 06 shelby, and I'll be damned if the termy didn't beat it in almost everything. It was a while ago and I may be a little off but I know it was close...

I don't think there was an 06 Shelby, think 07 was the first year...were they both stock?
The 07/08 having a sc 5.4 should beat the sc 4.6...
