why I can't break 13's yet

Alright guys, I'm really close to burning my car down...lol

I have a 2005 G35 Coupe AT W/:

-Z Tube
-06 Rev-up Airbox
-K&N Drop-In Filter
-Strup Headers
-Strup Test Pipes
-Injen Cat-Back Exhaust
-MD 5/16 ISO Plenum Spacer
-GTM Valvevody Upgrade
-Stillen Grounding Wires
-245/45/18 Riken Raptors on the Front
-255/40/18 Falken Azenis RT-615 on the Back

The Best 1/4 Mile time I've gotten is a 14.4 @ 99.709
The best 60ft I've gotten is a 2.278

What I want to know is why I can't break 13's yet? My car bogs like crazy while launching. If you guys have any sugesstions please let me know. I really want to break 13's.

You just need more practice, cause my car broke 13's with less than half those mods...and make sure vdc is off.

What rim / tire are you using? Also how much seat time do you have?

First of all, you need a tune! Second, are you driving in manual mode?

I have less than half your mods and ran a 14.47 (14.3 corrected) at Infineon Raceway.

All I have is a Z-Tube, 3" MR axle back, Skunk 2 plenum spacer, 3.5 VLSD

1. What is the DA at the track you are racing?
2. Your 60ft time is high, it should be as close to 2.0 as possible. in low 2.1 range would be more realistic number
3. U need a tune
4. U need a higher final drive.

if it feels sluggish then you most likely need a tune

you need a tune your car shouldn't feel sluggish with those mods.

Did you compare your times to other VQs there?

It can be for various reasons.

Usually, it's one of these or a combination of any of them:

-Less than ideal conditions
-Subpar driving / lack of experience
-Something wrong with your car (unlikely).

There have been stock G35's who have done 13's. That doesn't mean they are faster than your car given the same conditions.
