Took the G to the track for the first time.

Had my first few runs with the G on Wednesday. The car is totally stock with just a drop in K&N Filter. It was test & tune at Palm Beach Raceway and was able to get 12 runs in under an hour. All of them me running alone.

First run was horrible at 15.5 and most of my other runs were around 15.0 and 15.1. This was my best run of the night. I was close to E on the gas with one gallong of 102 octane, heavy 20inch wheels and i'm over 320lbs.

R/T - .207
60' - 2.200
330 - 6.337
1/8 - 9.690
mph - 73.07
1000- 12.540
1/4 - 14.908
mph - 95.76

With my speed, i think i should be running low 14s. What do you guys think?

Not too bad considering the 20s and the density altitude was probably very very high that day. The wheels are probably slowing you off the line. The 298HP 05-06 rev-ups can do low 14s @ 98-99 MPH with a 2.0-2.1 60' in cooler weather with the sport 18s. I'd say those wheels are taking at least 2-3 tenths off your ET.

I'm going to install the Stillen Z tube and the plenum spacers and then take the car to the track again.

Just put the stock rims back on when you go back.

When did you go? did it rain prior to you going to the track? was the actual track wet?

sorry about the questions, I went there a few weeks ago but it rained and the ladies in the front did not know the track conditions so I left.

Yeah, it was disappointing. Most of my runs were between 15 & 15.1; I used to run 15.2 with my 99 maxima.

you got a lot better 60' time then me but then i guess the 20's plus you being almost 200lbs heavier then me kicked in as i normally do 14.86 @96 in my AWD, i have 2.4 for my 60's as i'm a NOOB. My 98 maxima ran 16.15 but it was HORRIBLE weather and stock

haha yup but easily attributed to the combo of his wheels and most likely the extra weight.. not to mention track conditions

but still a pretty good run for the both of you
