I know this thread is beat to death, but yeah I've raced a handful of G's and walked all of them pretty easily. I was pretty surprised how hard my Altima pulled on them from 40 or 50 rolls through 100ish. Multiple Car lengths... us Altima guys all love Gs though. Solid looking and RWD. I almost bought an 04, but after getting in the Altima I honestly thought it was a lot roomier and more fun to drive despite FWD. I think it's the better view in the Altima

yeah, I notice that most G35 drivers are nice people (most are 50yr old women) but that there seems to be a lot of 17 yr olds on here from lurking around in some threads! I just like surprising people with the Altima. For what it is (mildly quick 4 door), it's pretty good from a roll.

G's have a lot more potential, but stock for stock or with a few bolt-ons, Altimas are pretty quick. I think my car only weighs about 3200lbs.

my 60' suck with my all season tires, and it's an altima not a g, about avg time. lots of guys in low 14s. there was a guy in a full bolt on 6mt G coupe there runnin 14.8-14.9@96 all night. i blame that on the driver tho but i dunno maybe his car was tuned bad

i really don't know what this car is capable of

i know when i took my rsx to the track I got a bit of a wake up call...pulling good 60 fts in fwd is a pita

i went on a cold day once with 235/40-17 summer tires and the best i could do was like a high 2.5 60ft ended up pulling like a 14.7@98.75 or something

then i finally got to the track on a warm day and pulled like a 2.3 60ft and got a 14.39@99, later on I managed a 2.2 60 ft, 9.2@79 1/8th(i think), but i left lean protection on in kpro and the shift into 4th triggered it for some reason and the power cut out...ended up pulling a 14.9@75...lol but it would have been a 14.0-14.2@99-100 based on the 1/8th...so that was frustrating...so im hoping the G can at least beat the 14.39.., still gonna be slow but whatever..lol

a stupid waste of money..lol

basically the G as extra resonators on its intake tube and the z just has a straight tube..z-tube basically makes it sound a little better/louder not sure if it give you any power

it gives about 3hp is what i heard, but even if it doesnt, it's definitely not a waste of money. Is only about 50 bucks and it makes a hugeee different in sound when you mash the gas pedal

I paid 75 shipped and maybe you should take a peek under your car at the monstrosity that is the oem sedan midpipe, it is like 30-50lbs worth or weight redux and probably a little more power then the ztube which i think was $60 shipped or so since it was a stillen, you can't hear the z-tube anymore after you put in the coupe midpipe

With the Z-Tube and Mid-Pipe (sorry I wasn't going to pay for run after run) my sedan put out a best run of 247 whp 221 wtq. After switching it out back to stock, my car had a best run of 242 whp and 222 wtq. I had a total of 6 runs done, and all 3 of the runs with the mods did a little better than the original parts. Dyno conditions were: 67 degrees, 29.92 in., 51% humidity. So if anyone is wondering whether or not the mods do anything power-wise, I'm fairly convinced that the answer is yes but nothing earth shattering. Why did I want to switch out the parts? I wanted to quiet the car down. Everything said about my stock sedan mid-pipe is true. The exhaust is just much smoother and there's no in-cabin resonance at low rpms anymore. I can hear the engine growl now. With the coupe mid-pipe I was getting a little droning and the exhaust note was inconsistent going from smooth to growling to silent and alternating randomly from there. I also noticed an increase in low-end torque but I have nothing to confirm this. I didn't ask for the dyno graphs because I'm just freaking retarded and it slipped my mind. So for everyone who has ever wondered, I hope this answers your question.

apparently the pair of mods is good for 5whp, i guess thats decent for $125-$150, he did lose 1 ftlb of torque though..

^ i looked under my car and i got something better than a coupe midpipe. Who needs resonators? Lighter and deeper than coupe MP

i got roaring sound coming from front and back. My exhaust makes the coupe exhaust sound weak, the non stillen oem Z tube is $50 used.
