There are a ton of MT vs AT and coupe vs sedan threads - go to one of them if you feel the need for that debate...

we are saying all VQDE non rev-up on the G and Z are the exact same as are all the VQDE RevUp and the VQHR...

It doesnt matter if the engine is in a coupe or sedan - its the same exact engine. EXACTLY the same.

Why is that so shocking? It's common sense actually.

^^oh i had the impression they was refering to the altimas, maxes and other nissan with vqs as well. so the altima is rated at 250hp vs the ser/max at 260hp. thats bull**** too?

but that's what I said way earlier int he thread... if we dont know what the cars had - the rest is futile...

I've seen honda civics that will blow the snot out of any G or Z out here... it was running 10s at Cal Speedway (a notoriously slow track - mid 13 second cars cant break 14s there)...

So to say an Altima be a G really doesnt mean anything... to say a stock Altima is faster a same year stock simply G isnt accurate

what is your last question/statement thing in reference too? but yes, the 3rd gen altimas are rated at 250 and the se-r is rated at 260 and they dyno stock around 220ish and the new altimas are rated at 270 and the 6spd is dynoing around 250ish stock

yea, your first comment sort of makes this whole argument pretty pointless since the se-r had y-pipe, wai, and vias block plate and a 6spd vs. a stock 5at g

but, if you were to compare stock(or close to stock) non rev up DE g35 and altima 1/4 mile times you can see for yourself that they will be pretty equal, thus making it a drivers race. from a dig the g has the clear advantage but from a roll I will say the altima will have the advantage

just playing devil's advocate here

most likely not, change in time would be very dependent on the tire change though

very true, although a fairly high tq fwd vehicle sucks as far as traction goes. I can't go near 100% throttle at any point in first gear without losing traction and spinning through 2nd....fwd ftl

oh well, it is what it is, anything can happen in a street race....the g is a sexy *** car, and as soon as my lady graduates she will be getting one

I drove both (nonrevup DE) and there is no way the Altima was/is as fast as the G... I actually considered (for a minute) buying an Altima (since at the time the purchase was for a high mileage commuter car with client/passenger needs)... its a good car, so I'm certainly not knocking it... but of the cars I drove, it wasnt on par with the G.
