5.23 sounds pretty accurate for a stock g35...its pretty close to the 5.4 he quoted there, not sure why he is worried about .17 seconds. Also when they test cars they usually average out the times so they may have gotten something like 5.2, 5.3, 5.5 and 5.6 and averaged it out to 5.4

I'm modified and I haven't run better than 5.9 according to my UpRev Cipher program. I didn't think I sucked that bad at driving!

I didn't know they averaged the times, always thought they post the lowest times they get...good to know lol

And you're right, the difference between 5.4 & 5.23 is only .17 seconds, which is plausible...for a second, I thought the Gtech was wrong.

Are you auto or manual? Unless the Cipher is not calibrated properly, you should be easily under 5.9...I get 5.8/5.9 without really trying on a stock G...If you're modified, you should have better times.

Manual and modified! Full aftermarket exhaust, hfc's, Osiris, spacer, mrev2, tube, new air filter AND plugs. Hopefully it's something with the cipher program.... I dunno though, it runs directly off the ecu. Unless it starts clocking before I'm actually moving.
