Tried it on sunday. Turned vdc off and just made a really wide right turn from the middle lane going 60mph. Slid sideways for about 80 ft. and got pulled over about a block later. Good thing it was slightly rainy because I just said I hydroplaned and they let me off.

Doing a drift while going 60mph in the wet and on a public road = Not smart at all!! at least go to an empty car park that way if you loose control you won't endanger anybody else around you.

although i am a major fan of drifting, doing it on a public road with people around is never a good idea. you can drift a 5AT but you have to initiate a lot earlier. flooring it around a corner is not drifting, being completely sideways hundreds of feet before the corner and then using ebrake plus throttle modulation to control the car and keep it completely locked out through the corner is drifting....

there are many many local events all over the US right now that you can practice at, dont wreck your car or hurt anyone in the process.
