umm.my shift lever snapped in half.suggestions? (pics)

Well as the title says, my shift lever broke when I hit second pretty hard. I had filed it down a little to fit the momo shift **** on, so warranty wont cover it, but I just need suggestion...do you think I should just go for a new short throw shifter?

haha you have no idea, driving like that is hard, you move the lever like 1/4 an inch for each shift gate...i didnt rip the gear THAT hard, it just snapped when I pulled back, no harder than I shifted before....it jsut snapped cause i ground it down.

1. "haha you have no idea, driving like that is hard, you move the lever like 1/4 an inch for each shift gate." I was answering accordfreak

2. " didnt rip the gear THAT hard, it just snapped when I pulled back, no harder than I shifted before....it jsut snapped cause i ground it down." - I was answering you saying I didnt shift insanely hard, but it snapped due to the fact that I ground down the metal part of the lever to fit the momo shift **** on.
