Well I havent had it replaced...yet. I really do hope the dealership replaces mine due to all the problems on it. Thats kinda sad to hear when I have only owned this car for about 3 weeks, not to even mention its a 40,000 dollar car.

Once I get my fixed, ill give you feedback. I hope its nothing negative.

Thats the only downside the my G so far.

im surprised to hear many people have tranny problems - besides the clicking noise when depressing the clutch in 1st gear at times (whcih hasnt happened in a long long while now that i think of it) and the rare scratch into 5th.....(due to fact maybe i didnt clutch fully) i havent had any major major problems with the engine/tranny.....and i can say ive worked the redline a couple times o_O

yeah i was pretty bumed out when i heard that the dealer had to replace the tranny...( at 15K)

i thought a new tranny would mess everything up and my car wouldn't feel the same...

but the dealership did an excellent job...it feels the same as my previous tranny except that its a bit rougher (like it was when first tranny was new)
i'm sure it'll get smoother just like the first one did

everyone says that the dealership replaced the old tranny with a new tranny with better/stronger syncros....

just worried the same thing will happen to my new tranny (5th gear grind)

With all these dealer replacements of tranny's does anyone know if they are actually installing the sopposed newer 05+ trannys or just trannys from a stock of 03-04's? I would hate to have my tranny replaced with a 03-04 replacement and only have the same problem down the road once I am out of warranty! In addition I have come across several post from 05-06'ers who also have had to have their trannys replaced, is there really an improvemt?

^^^ thats exactly what i was wondering when i started this thread...

btw, i don't think they would put a tranny from an 03 or 04 cuz i think their totally different from the 05/06

but regarding my new tranny, i don't feel an improvement from the og tranny, it feels the same except the "5th Gear Grind" is gone

it may be wishfull hoping but, i've heard from several different sources, that they replace bad trannys with ones that have stronger/better syncros
