The rubber boot is the hardest part out of the whole install.. Especially in an awkward position when you are on jack stands.

Rogue has a decent .pdf file on their site for installation. Set-by-step with pictures too.

http://www.rogueengineering.com/pdf/...er_install.pdf

It's about 1.2mb to download. It's for the 350Z but it's the same for our G's.

i know they have a step by step DIY. but for some reason, i can only open 1 page at a time and it's not even clear. could barely even read what it says. is there away i can skim through the pages.

are you opening the file inside a web browser or are you saving it to your computer first?

Mine opens from the web site and launches adobe reader when downloaded.
I can change pages at the bottom with the page arrows even before I save a copy to my hard drive.

Try going to a larger % on size. Mines opens by default at 67%. Try 100%.

You might be able to find the grease in the auto section, but you can go to any autoparts store.

BUMP.....

Just installed mine today, very easy actually with Rogues instructions.

Hardest part was getting the rubber boot back on underneath the G (me and my big fat hands and fingers )
Also, had to have my daughter hold the shifter down while I put the bolt though the new shifter/linkage, which also kept the plastic cup seated with the spring.

First impression was slightly less throw (knew it wasn't going to be a big change, being the 06 has a shorter throw than previous years anyways, think 05 too).

Seems a little more precise in the gates, but funny, not really smoother than my oem, in fact, feels somewhat notchier, break-in time...idk... lol.
But does reduce the vibration I felt in my oem one.

Anyway, I like it, glad I got it and now shopping for a ****.

You should look into this ****: http://www.forgedinternals.com/store...cat=267&page=1

I have it along with many other members on here and my350z, IMO it has made my shifting significantly more comfortable, allowing me to shift faster, despite the fact that it looks like a butt plug

Hmmm...butt plug...lol. Remember seeing that one here awhile back. Forgot about that one. Thanks for the link and brief review.
Resembles a **** I've seen from a member locally who had a batch custom made, SS too, but all sold out.

Anyone here with the Rogue have the same notchiness as I'm experiencing?
Read in another Rogue thread someone stating 'smooth as butter'.
Is it possible I tightened the linkage to shifter bolt too much? I know it's over 10 ft-lbs.
That doesn't seem like much torque for a bolt that's exposed to frequent movement and gearbox vibration. That would suck if it worked it's way loose and out of the shifter while driving
Am I just being paranoid here?

Does anyone have a problem with their shift **** not sitting flush? Mine is screwed all the way in but I have this gap between the collar of the shift **** and the top of the shifter.
