I had the same thought, and went with the heavier NISMO flywheel. I haven't installed yet (still under 4,500 miles)... ...and now I'm a little concerned it might be too loud (after reading the other post). I hope it's the guy's JUN flywheel that's the culprit.

From reading many reviews I believe the Nismo is the least offensive lightweight flywheel since it is also the heaviest. But with any single mass flywheel out there for our cars, there will be a cement mixer type noise. Some brands will be noiser than the others.

i say go with UR if you can. as far as i know it is the least annoying (noisy). i havent heard nismo in person, but i have heard that it is amongst the most annoying. i have the JWT flywheel, and in retrospect i should have gone UR.

ACT prolite 13lbs, feels very nice and doesen't impair street drive ability at all, you get used to it in an hour of driving. Its also a single piece chromoly unit, so its as quiet as they get.

The stock flywheel is a dual mass flywheel with a dampener that weighs in almost 28 pounds. I recommend going with the JWT, it is 14 pounds and has a replacable friction dic fos the flywheel is good for the life of the car. Other flywheels, after it is resurfaced once, or if its even resurfacable, you will have to replace it. http://mynismo.com/products/?id=3194

The chatter point, coined the term myself, is higher on the JWT vs the UR.

JWT chatter goes up to 2300 RPM.
UR chatter only goes up to 1500 RPM.

This is dependent on the Flywheel.
I have heard good things about the ACT but i have yet to drive or hear them in person.

I've heard Stillen, Nismo, JWT, and UR Flywheels.
The UR one is what's in my car currently.
It's 14lbs like the Stillen, and JWT, but audibly quieter.

I must recommend tho, when you're in there swapping out the flywheel and or clutch, swap out the Throw-Out bearing as well.

That's the thing you hear chattering and rattling as you drive/idle.

I have the ACT package on my car,

I changed my clutch about 400 miles ago, and went ahead and changed the flywheel. When i was placing my order at www.z1auto.com, I called in b/c i needed them to overnight it, the guy was very nice, and i could not decided to get the street light or prolight flywheel, the street light is about 17lbs, and the pro light is about 13lbs. He said for street driving the street light was all i needed, with the pro light you have to rev a little more to get the car moving.

Like all lightweight flywheels it rattles, but usually only after i go back into second after i downshift usually at turns, and even so, when i have the music on i barley hear it, its a nice clutch flywheel combo package and i highly recommend it

+1. I have the JWT too. I went with it b/c it has bolt patterns for both the 350Z/G35 clutch and the Z32 (300ZX TT) clutch. The Z32 clutch is bigger and holds a little more power. Needless to say I bought a ACT clutch made for the Z32 TT. Things holds great. The flywheel wasn't noisey until I sprayed on the motor a couple times. Now that thing chatters like a mo fo. Still, both bolt patterns rocks....a couple other flywheels have the samething. Don't remember which one(s).
