Just get a service manual, it has all the step by steps in there.

Here, looked it up for you, this is for 6mt though.

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect battery negative cable.
3. Remove catalytic converter stay mounting nuts and bolts, and
then remove catalytic converter bracket. Refer to EX-3,
"Removal and Installation" .
4. Remove nut connecting catalytic converter to exhaust manifold, and then remove catalytic converter and
exhaust front tube as one unit.
5. Remove propeller shaft. Refer to PR-7, "Removal and Installation"
CAUTION:
Do not impact or damage propeller shaft tube.
6. Remove control rod mounting bolts and then separate shift lever
assembly from the control rod assembly.
7. Use a screwdriver wrapped in tape to remove claw and then
separate console finisher from the center console. Refer to IP-
12, "Removal and Installation" .
8. Remove hole cover mounting bolts and then separate hole
cover from the floor panel.
9. separate control lever boot from the guide plate.
10. Remove guide plate mounting bolts and then separate shift lever
assembly from the shift lever housing assembly.
***6-10 not really needed, just take off the shifter and boot.

11. Remove clutch operating cylinder mounting bolts and then separate
clutch operating cylinder from the transmission case.
12. Remove POS sensor.
CAUTION:

Do not subject it to impact by dropping or hitting.

Do not disassemble.

Do not allow metal filings, etc., to get on the sensor's
front edge magnetic area.

Do not place in an area affected by magnetism.
13. Disconnect neutral switch and reverse switch.
14. Separate heated oxygen sensor 2 wire harness, POS sensor
wire harness, back-up lamp switch wire harness, PNP switch
wire harness from the transmission.
15. Remove starter motor. Refer to SC-18, "Removal and Installation" .
16. Set jack to the transmission.
CAUTION:
When setting jack, be careful not to contact with the switch.
17. Remove rear member. Refer to EM-89, "Removal and Installation"
.
18. Remove engine and transmission mounting bolts with power
tool.
19. Remove transmission from the vehicle.

How long should this take?

 

Depends on experience, a typical clutch job can take a first-timer 8-12hours. In our shop we typically knock out a clutch/flywheel kit in under 4.

I just did mine with some help - 6 hours with a lift.

Non-typical tools I had to use:
T55 bit (flywheel bolts)
2 foot long extension + 1 foot long extension (reach the upper bell housing bolts)
Slide hammer (pilot bearing/bushing removal)
Hydraulic press (throwout bearing removal/installation)
Trans jack (obvious)
2 foot long breaker bar (bellhousing bolts)
Brass bar (pilot bearing/bushing installation)
Burly guy {to help join trans and engine back together}

Everything else was pretty typical mechanics tools - sockets, wobbles, extensions.
