burning your clutch..

how easy is to burn your clutch. This is like my 2nd week with my car and im still a little new.. I was driving it hard in first then tried to make the switch to 2nd but for some reason it didnt work and when i pressed the gas the car didnt move . Afterwards I stopped for a bit and I smelt a gross smell and im pretty sure it was my clutch, it made me a little scared so im wondering what it takes to do some serious damage

Yep, this happen alot with our trannies. Take it easy and break it in some. It will always be there, but once broken in; it'll happen less often.

That smell is the clutch. I always describe it as burnt tuna fish. Take your time with the 1-2 shift, the G's tranny is picky with that one.
