Clutch pedal vibration

Hi guys, this is a newb question.

I'm about to buy a 2005 G35 coupe so I got it inspected.

The report was fantastic except for a few things.

The report showed that the clutch pedal experiences vibration when riding the clutch or when just about to connect.

Is this a common problem with the G's?

He said that he thinks that it might be a teething issue, becuase it's done only 13,000km...but I wanna see what you guys think

A vibrating clutch can be many things.
If it is a cable clutch then could be a loose or non-taught cable, but I thing the G's are hydraulic. So...
It could be the pressure plate (meaning the teeth) are out of alignment because of faulty parts or abuse. That is what generates the pressure to keep the clutch disk mated to the flywheel. Like a centrifugal spring, with separated sections.
It could be a worn or warped flywheel
It could be a worn clutch
It could be a throw-out bearing, usually cheap part but goes bad often and annoying. Failure is usually preceded by a squeaking or chirping.
It could be the TOB sleeve which may be cracked or warped.
It could be the input shaft that may be missing teeth or is warped.
Hopefully it is not anything internal to the tranny such as gears/teeth.

If you buy the car the first thing you should do is get that transmission dropped and inspected. More than likely it is one of those things that is wrong (hopefully something minor rather than major). Either way get yourself a clutch kit with new throw-out-bearing. Check the retainer sleeve that the TOB sits on, check the flywheel and check the input shaft as well.

Okay, well I haven't taken it to get checked out yet.

But an update is that the fibration through the clutch pedal is ONLY felt during 1st gear whilst I'm riding the clutch and easing it out.

2nd, 3rd, 4th 5th and 6th are all fine, no vibrations.

It's only when I'm taking off from stand still, and I'm easing the clutch out to engage 1st - that I can feel a sort of "pulsing" vibration through the clutch pedal.

any ideas?!?!!?!?

On a side note, I also hear a slight "clunk" sound when I shift from 1st to 2nd.

Is that normal?

Wow, 1 year later this is dug up.
Funny thing is, I think it is normal since I own an 06 manual coupe now.
1st gear initially seems inconsistent at times and I think the design of the transmission is not the best. This results in the clunking and machine sounds you hear. There may have been some abuse on the trans. and it is just not designed well enough (Those fantastic fragile precision parts) to handle consistent (if any) abuse. Ofcourse without actually experiencing each individual problem, every opinion is just that.
Note: My old roommate did have his trans replaced for loud clunking when he had an 03 model.
