well see one thing that made me nervous was when i stopped it normally shifts into 1st gear smoothly (from 3rd to 1st), but this time it kind of thumped into 1st gear. Then when i was stopped outside the house i put the car in drive and then shifted the car to park, but it took a couple seconds to engage. Then i shifted it to reverse and it took about 2 seconds before it engaged in reverse....

Well, took it for about a 15 mile drive and everything seems fine now...checked the transmission fluid, its fine. Still no lights are on in the car...gave it a little gas, but still afraid to floor it...i have no idea what happend last night....?

I think tomarrow im going to take it to the nissan dealership and have them plug it in to see if the car recorded anything.

Maybe it was some kind of flash-back from teenage party years?... the car was probably fine, your mind was freakin'

Glad things are okay - hopefully.

Could be a vacuum leak or MAF issue. I'd definitely inspect the intake piping of your CAI. Also, CAIs on late model Nissans (02+) have a tendency to wreck MAF sensors, especially in 02-03 VQ35 Maximas.

What kind of spirited driving were you doing before you went to the house? Sounds like a limp mode kinda... My car sometimes clunks into 1st from 3rd or even 2nd at times but I have never had a problem with my 5AT and I run the heck outta her w/ the Vortech. I was thinking about getting the VB upgrade but I dont want to mess up a good thing.

I actually wasnt in the mood for any spirited driving that night so i was taking care of her...that might have been the problem . Im taking it to my guy at nissan today to see if the car recorded anything.

Wow - best of luck - really sounds like a mechanical fault within the transmission. Did you have anything done to it recently? Flush, cooler, etc?

I had a few similar things happen in the past...no biggie. Just reset the ECU. I doubt you did any damage.

I don't have a supercharger, so why would i do that? haha it's already "fixed" anyways, you should read more than the first post before responding

sounds like tq converter tried to seize up?

when you went into P and it took a bit to catch
all the delays between shifting from gear to park.

dont know if ecu will record that
hmmmm?
