The burnout switch mod.

kp technologies just came out with a module for burnouts and brake boosting. I beta tested it, and it works perfectly! It is a 4 wire hookup, and it always works...... brake lights work.
It is quite an ingenious little device.
go to www.my350z.com and search for "brake boosting"
here's an exerpt from that thread
Here is a quick movie of how the ECU reads the brake switch. Basically, there are two brake switches (1 and 2). 1 is on the left, and is used for Cruise Control and brake lights. 2 is on the right of the screen and is used by the ECU to prevent throttle and braking at the same time. You can see when I push the pedal both of them switch to 'depressed', but about 1 second later the right signal goes back to 'normal'. This movie, admittingly, isn't very impressive and is a somewhat big file, so unless you really want to see how it works I wouldn't waste the time downloading it!

Mike, it's somewhere in the thread titled "Brake boosting a TT 350z", in the Forced Induction section. Here's a direct link to the thread: http://www.my350z.com/forum/showthread.php?t=231581
I haven't followed the thread closely, so I can't point you to a specific post.

To those that decide to do this mod: I am pretty sure that cutting the brake signal wire right at the switch will disable the ABS function. If you cut it near the ECU, then you are much better off (will not lose ABS). Just beware and remember to switch the connection back on when done burning out...

my understanding is that KP Technologies now has a production module... this is what I am interested in... I'm not really wanting to DIY... I've been waiting for something like this on a production level but I haven’t seen anything indicating that they are actually selling it yet... OP, is this still in beta test mode? Or is it avail for sale?
I am of course referring to the VDC/Throttle cutoff defeat mod (whatever you want to call it)... so that a high rpm launch with out cutting power is possible. I have talked with another vendor about creating something like this and incorporating an additional "sweet" feature (that is presently a secret)... but I don’t know if/when it will come to fruition... so this might be a good item for me.
