The burnout switch mod.
I'm posting this here so more people could see it, since there was so much confusion about what to disconnect or do. It is actually simple. I'm quoting what I wrote earlier:
"Well, on my car there are two push switches on the brake pedal. The higher one being the one for the brake light. That's the reference that the ecu uses to cut the throttle if both brake and gas are applied at the same time while the back tires are spinning at a higher rate than the front. I used a kind of OEM looking lighted switch along with a relay to bypass that signal on command, like at the dragstrip. There are no lights or faults associated with this when I hit the switch, because all I'm doing is bypassing that push switch. It's as if I never pressed the brakes.
It rained this morning so I went out and tried it, and it works perfectly. Turn off VDC, Hit the switch, hold the brake firm and gas at the same time with your right foot (around 3500rpm) then dump the clutch. The car shouldn't move."
Here are some pictures of the procedure.

you will through a CEL eventually if you keep the switch off. The ECU expects the brake signal every so often. I think you'll kill your cruise control also. KP has a new module in testing that sends a single pulse (rather than a steady signal) to the ECU when you press the brake over at my350z.com in the FI forum.

Why would you get SES light by not pressing the brakes every so often? That doesn't make any sense. The way I did it, is like not pressing the brakes. I haven't have a problem or light. Oh, I don't recommend driving around with the switch on, you brake lights don't come on. That is the whole point. Use it at the track or when you feel the need to burn your tires without having the car move on you.

The ECU expects to see a brake signal every so often. There is a specific CEL code devoted to describing a situation where the ECU has not received a brake switch signal in a long time (believe it or not - it's in the service manual and there's a thread at my350z on this).
You are probably fine as you engage the switch temporarily - no biggie really.
