Shifting to 2nd gear with AC on

Normally when I shift from 1st to 2nd I don't have any problems. I don't hear any odd sounds coming from the engine. However, when I turn the AC on I find it almost impossible to shift from 1st to 2nd without hearing a clunking sound coming from the engine. The car was purchased brand new and currently has 3850 miles on it. I've read that our cars have a problem with shifting noises so is this just normal? It's just weird that it only happens to me when the AC is running...like the loss of power is making it that much harder to nail a smooth shift...

I've changed my transmission and differential oil this past weekend, and i've noticed the improvement right away. I was very pleased. Give it a try, the difference is like night and day. Less notchiness, chatter, thunks, and better yet...more oomph.

This Saturday i'm scheduled to have my transmission oil changed for the first time on this vehicle..im guessing they don't change the differential oil. Any idea how much the dealership charges to replace that? Also, how often do you change it?

i think infiniti recommends every 30k miles, but some members here recommends changing it after the break in period due to the metal shavings it accumulates during that time.

Don't know how much the dealership would cost, i usually try to do it myself unless i don't have the necessary tools.
