tranny problem

i have an 03 6mt with a 5th gear grind. i am covered until 70k with my warranty. my car has 68k and i called the dealership and they told me that they will replace the tranny, but i would need to buy the clutch. which i was o.k with, but they tell me it will be 2k to fix the clutch. a little too high in my eyes ,but they refuse to install one that is not from infinity. my issue is that i am selling my car and i dont want to spend that much money when a aftermarket clutch is much cheaper. in my eyes the clutch that i have now seems fine, but i know i need a throw out bearing. is it smart just to do the clutch and bearing , and not the flywheel, because from what i understand that the flywheel is where most of the money goes to. its like 1,300 dollars. meanwhile the nismo flywheel is only 600.00.

Try another dealer or just go and talk to the mechanic that is going to work on your car directly ! You might be able to just slide him some bread and he put it in for you on the side !!

If this is an infiniti dealer I would call infiniti directly and let them know how this dealership is trying to do to you. The clutch kit can be had for under 600 i believe (from the dealer, as I just got a price). They aren't out but another 30 mins of labor since they already have the tranny dropped.
