COUPE rear AXEL

Hello fellow G's

My brothers coupe has a problem, there is a very bad clicking noise from the right rear axel of the car. I had that problem once with all stock springs and rims. And the service took care of it sound wasn't thtere anymore. Now I have lighly modified the car with springs and rims. Took it to the dealer to fix it, they replied to me "You have to change everything to stock". Now the sound really bugs me. When I drive down hill slowly and when I start off fast, when I reverse too. I heard people had the same thing. I am 18 now helping my bro all the time with G. And I know it has to be the rear axel.

What should I do??

HELP Please.

Thanks,

Chris

Re: COUPE rear AXEL

If its clicking, there is something on the car that is STOCK that is causing it. My car did the same thing. I forgot what the dealership said it was but I can call them on Monday and find out for you.

Thanks - Joey Avino

Re: COUPE rear AXEL

Thanks bro,
But then it's like that the dealership service told me we have to put everything back to stock in order to fix it. My bro is gonna call them and ask them for the service history. To tell them it's not a new thing for this new car. But I think it's totally not cool to give this kind of service. All they need to do is to make the rear axel tight.

yeah you are absolutely right.... go to a different dealership if you can... they should not treat you like that, especailly if they cant prove that the aftermarket parts are what caused the clicking

Re: COUPE rear AXEL

I read a thread with someone with the same problem. They took it to the dealer and they adjusted some screw next to the Left rear dif. Look for a screw somewhere.

Re: COUPE rear AXEL

Hey thanks, tonke73 but the problem is they won't do it because I got Volks on and TEIN springs lowering the coupe. I know this is not the cause for this problem, because it happened when the car even had STOCK WHEELS AND SPRINGS on. This is something like I tinted my windows and when the streaks showed up and I took it to the dealer they won't fix it too. And when I had the loaner it had those nasty window streaks on both sides too. They have to prove that this is not the cause of the aftermarket parts, but what do they know....

Re: COUPE rear AXEL

That sux. Try locate the sound and find the screw...and tight it up by urself if accessible. Dealership can be a real bitch especially when you're running aftermarket parts on the car. Unfortunately, we only have 1 dealership in Hawaii, no other choice. Btw who is your service guy? I know Jason but I dunno the other dude... Try call em up again and if they're not gonna take care of it then...show em whos the boss...lol. Good luck......

Sup Sky!

So you the other day in WAIKIKI right? LOL That was cool, I was in the back seat, my bro was driving. LOL
Well the sound is coming only if the car is rolling and reversing. I am 100% sure that this sound is coming from the right rear axel again. And this has nothing to do with the freaking mods we have done to the car. This really pisses me off!

But thanks,

SKY
