Burning smell.. possibly clutch?

Well a couple of days ago (monday) i drove my car pretty hard..and immediately afterwards I smelled a burning smell. I assumed it was the clutch so I didn't think much of it. Well my car sat for a good 3 days since I have a daily driver. I decided to drive my car again today and immediately I smelled the burning smell again. It is just as strong as the first time. The clutch doesn't seem to be slipping though...

So my question is.. does it sound like it's still the clutch and should I just keep driving and see if it goes away? If the clutch is really dead, does the burnt smell just keep coming back from me driving until I replace it? I can literally smell it after parking my car and walking away from it... pretty strong. It seems to be coming from underneath the car. I will jack it up tomorrow to see if I have a bag under there or something...

edit: I'm on the vortech and i have about 45k miles on the stock clutch.

This happened to me a long, long time ago before I was boosted. I was just messing around on a rainy night and my tires spun all the way through 5th gear. My clutch smelled so bad and continued to do so for over a week later. It eventually went away. It never slipped or anything... so I was confused.

Hopefully, that's what happened to you. Nothing major to worry about. I didn't have to replace my clutch until 65k miles.

Thanks for the response.. but the clutch is indeed dead. Just ordered the jwt clutch/flywheel and should be good to go in no time!
