Newly boosted G = fried stock clutch

Well after two weeks with my single turbo kit installed the stock clutch has finally given in. I knew the clutch was going out so it was no big deal. Jeremy at PF told me that it was slipping on the dyno while he was tuning so I knew it was coming. Any way the stock clutch just slips like hell under boost (you know I have been all in boost). As long as I don’t lay into the throttle to heavy it is fine so the car is drivable. My new JWT clutch and flywheel should be here Tuesday so down time will be a minimum. Any way newly boosted G = fried stock clutch. It still fun as hell to drive!!

Just to let everyone know the stock clutch has 49K on it and a little over 1.5K boosted.

my stock clutch was also toasted in 2 weeks. The hardest part is the break-in!!!! You know you have so much power under that hood that you can't use for around 400miles I had a few Subbies messed with me in the freeway and the Break-in period didn't stop me from racing

Don't you need a retune for those upper RPMs now?
No the clutch held at the psi Jeremy tuned it at. I just drove the $hit out of it ti fry the clutch.

I don't know... I destroyed my JWT clutch at 400 rwhp within 2 months. Saddest $600 bucks spent.

Let's see, mine last me 3 months boosted, but a total of 65k miles. I was pretty happy about that.

And who says you need to break in a new clutch? I didn't, haha.

Mine stock clutch and JWT flywheel have lasted about 15k hard driven miles. Now the clutch is slipping in the higher gears. It feels like power loss, because the car doesn't have the neck snapping acceleration it had when I first added the SC. I think I'll go with a JWT clutch to match the flywheel. It should be good for my power level.
