questions about 2004 g35 clutch

Hi,

I am looking to buy a 2004 G35 coupe. I was wondering if the clutch is supposed to engage pretty high. I was a bit afraid that I have to replace the clutch since I could have sworn that the other g35 i test drove had pretty low engagement. The car has 56000 miles on it. Thanks for the help
