clutch height
I've heard many people comment on how high the clutch engagement point is, and I have to agree. Recently I found a post where people where discussing the adjustment of the factory height. If anyone could give some insight into the adjustment method and exactly how much would be too much, it would be appreciated. Thanks.

Re: clutch height
if you adjust it much lower than the brake pedal, then you will start running into problems. Ideally, you want it just high enough that you can let the clutch out and have no engagement, but have almost no slack before it engages. if you adjust it to near the height of the brake pedal you wil have to adjust the cruise control switch located on teh clutch pedal assembly.

Re: clutch height
I adjusted mine down to about 1/4 of an inch above the brake pedal. A lot better than stock and probably not too far to do any lasting damage. IMO I wold go no lower than the brake pedal and even at the brake pedal is pushing it close to me.

Re: clutch height
Thanks for the input. From what I've heard before, and what everyone is saying now, adjusting the shift point to somewhere near or just above the brake pedal height seems to be as good as this mod is going to get. I was hoping that someone might pass on a link that gives the adjustment techniques and the advised rotations. If not, I guess that trial and error will be the method that works out in the end. Cheers.

Re: clutch height
I have been driving an older 911 Turbo as my play car.....and its clutch lets out right at the bottom.
The clutch in my G felt like a U Haul truck......way high pedal...and catches at the very top.
First thing I did was to look for an adjustment.
I took the linkage loose from the pedal....gave it (3) full turns and Bamm.......perfect (for me)....proper height....engages closer to floor.
I'm happy. Try it....you can always put it back.

Re: clutch height
I adjusted mine to take out all the free play. It is now about even with the brake pedal. I adjusted the free play out not just an adjustment height to the brake pedal. It made such a huge difference. I can't explain how rough the shifting was before this adjustment. My wife can even roll through the gears without being "herky/jerky".
