What are you looking for?

1 way? 1.5 way? 2 way?

Dailyable?

Track use only?

Adjustable?

Check this website for periodic updates:
http://www.autotech.com/prod_drive_wavetracDiffs.htm

They are the US distributor of UK Quaife... they are producing a "Quaife" variation... I haven’t done much research lately - but if I didn’t already have Quaife I would...

Good luck – Happy Modding!

figured i would ask my question in this thread instead of creating my own, but i'm setting my 04 6mt up for weekend drifting and i'm wondering is it safe or what kind of damage i can do to the vlsd? can i just get a quaife and not worry? sorry for the noobie question but i am new to the g35 and i don't want to tear up anything that i can prevent.

.OEM was not designed for drifting... if you plan you go aftermarket anyway and don’t plan to switch to stock later, you can always push it and see what the OEM will take... its not going to function optimally for drifting though and probably wont last long if you plan to drift ever weekend.

I think the reason you aren’t getting any responses is because most people figure someone that is serious about drifting would already know the answers – or take the time to research it...

There are several aftermarket LSD - your best bet is to take some time reading up on the pros and cons of each and determine which ones suites your needs best.

I have Quaife - but I don’t drift

A clutch LSD will make drifting much easier for you. You can still drift with the VLSD, but it will be more difficult.

Get a Tomei 2way for drifting. If you're a baller, Carbonetic 2way.

i've been looking a lot into the carbonetic, i'll look more into the cusco now though. the main reason i asked is because i don't know much about the vlsd and didn't really know if i got a different lsd would the vlsd no longer be a worry.
