Winding noise between 2,000-3,000 rpm

I have a 03 coupe 6mt, and when im decelerating within the 3,000 to 2,000 rpm range my car starts to make a winding noise. I am thinking and hoping that it is only my throw-out bearing. if anyone has had this issue or knows of it please let me know. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
