need help...clutch/flywheel woes

well, just recently i went out of town and my car was fine..i get home and start it and my slip/vdc/brake light was on and the car was in limp mode...after searching around i decided to top it off with some brake fluid and i also reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery...NOW, when driving if i gas it (say, trying to pass someone) the rpms will rev almost 2k higher then settle before the car starts to go any faster...so i send it to the dealer who tells me i need a new clutch/flywheel...does this sound right to you??!?!?!!...i bought the car new in Nov of 06 it has approximately 50,000 miles that 95% or more are all highway, i have never tracked my car nor do i push it very hard...dealership is saying my clutch/flywheel are wear and tear items and are not covered under warranty...also, in my evaction to atlanta from new orleans i noticed if the cruise control was set and i tried to accelerate with the controls it would just rev and disengage...the clutch has never shown any slipping problems, and until the reset i haven't had any problems...someone help as i don't have the money to replace my clutch/flywheel to get home from atl, nor do i want to replace it with another P.O.S. oem stuff if it has really gone bad already

Dealership = Stealership. It would be best to go with an aftermarket setup suck as the JWT clutch and flywheell combo. Depending on your driving a clutch can wear quicker than expected.

Aftermarket setups will almost always be louder than an OEM setup.

Clutch wear is 100% determined by the user.
