Very Weird Problem. 03 G35 auto wont accelerate in 3rd.

Hey guys i recently purchased a 03 g35 coupe in auto 2 months ago. It has 50k miles on it and was running fine until i noticed today that when i drive in tiptronic and shift from 2nd to 3rd around 4k rpm, the engine will rev up to the redline and not accelerate at all but still display as being in 3rd gear. Its almost as if i am shifting the car into neutral when i shift to 3rd because of the sudden surge to redline.

Can anyone point me in a certain direction?
has anyone had this problem before?

I already set up an appointment with my stealership.

thanks guys.

3rd gear will usually always slip first... i would go RIGHT NOW and get a tranny flush with BG cleaner and buy a tranny cooler.... if that doesnt work, u can try some lucas tranny fluid additive.. if that doesnt work ur tranny is gone to ****..... funny though cuz i drive my car like i stole it and never had a problem with my auto tranny......boy did i go through some accord v6 trannies though
