Short shifter ruins your XMSN!

The other day a friend and I were talking. He told me that short shifters ruin your transmission. Talking about the syncros being "forced" to shift faster. I dont believe it's true. What do all of you think?

this will answer your question and your friend needs to take an auto shop class.
It doesn't affect syncros...

Your friend is absolutely correct. You should but this and prolong the life of your transmission by another 10 years.
