Transmission Removal Question

When removing the transmission for clutch/flywheel replacement the service manual does not say that you need to drain tranny fluid before disconnecting drive shaft. My question is...do you need to drain tranny fluid when removing the tranny?

thanks

no you dont HAVE to. just when your removing the transmission dont tilt it back otherwise you will be spilling oil out of the output shaft.

The transmission fluid is contained so like Birdlives said don't tilt the transmission.
