Not good! need experts advice plz
i own a 06 g35 coupe and its a automatic, while driving today i was using the manual mode and while driving at 40mph when i shifted to the manual mode, I accidently shift it in reverse its only been done once ever...im really worry about my car right now. Have anyone ever came across this issue? should i be concern about my transmission as much as i should be right now? thanks in advance.

I don't even see how you did this? Did you think you were in MM and "shift up" to reverse? Even then you'd have to be pressing the button the shift **** to get it into reverse (neutral you can just pop it in without the button).
If you were switching from MM to D, that's a side to side movement... not forwards backwards. You'll need to explain what you did better...

Automatic transmissions react differently in different cars, so take what I'm saying with a grain of salt. Its not an excuse to throw your car in reverse to try it out.
Anyways...
Some transmissions have valve bodies that are programed not to allow the car to switch into a reverse gear while you're in motion. So depending on the car (and I am not sure about the G), the car will either not let the transmission engage in the opposite direction, or it will try to engage reverse and slow down the car.
You said that you accidentally moved the shift lever and saw the car rev? Are you sure you didnt just knock it in neutral?
In all likelihood, your transmission will prob be fine. If you have any issues, just take it to the dealer/trusted mechanic, and ask them to have a look.

This is what I'm saying. Things aren't adding up. If it revved, I doubt you went into reverse, just neutral and you were still on the gas. Did you actually SEE "R" show up in the gear indicator in the dash? I think you felt it go into neutral, possible hit the stop inbetween N and R and that's all.
Obviously you've driven the car since the incident. No strange noises, feels, etc. You're good to go.

+1 Yeah - did the car actually go into reverse? I doubt it - I did that once (I don't remember the circumstances) but even though the indicator went to "R", the transmission knew that would be a bad idea and it did not react. I just put the shifter back into "D" and everything was fine. Just make sure you don't slow down while it is still in "R". Once you get slow enough, it will do it - but that would be down around 5 kph.
