That's a great trick. As others have suggested, I soaked the brake pedal in very hot water for about 5-10 min.; it wasn't easy, but I got the brake pedal on after working with it for a few minutes. One other thing though, I used epoxy glue as directed to affix the e-brake pedal over the old pedal, but it still seems loose. Not that I use it at all (FL doesn't have hills ;-) but it just seems to hanging on for looks. Is there a better way to really glue it on tight so if I ever need to use it, I won't knock it off with my foot?

It took me around 30 min to install all four pedals. The brake
was the most difficult. I helped one of our board members install
his new pedals. It took him maybe 2 minutes to get the brake
pedal installed. Everyone has their own abilities! Defintitely
get them, they look awesome!

Got them and installed them 2 weeks ago...they look and feel great. But as I mentioned in my last post, I wondered if there was a better way to affix the e-brake pedal. I used epoxy glue as suggested, and it's on...but not that well. Although I probably won't even use it (no hills in FL ;-), if I ever did, it would probably come off from pushing it with my foot. Any suggestions (without drilling ?

just wanted to say great advice. I read all the stories of how hard it was to get the brake pedal on. Did exactly as you said... windex... start at one end and slide it right in so the top and bottom lips just slid in instead of having to try to pry it up. cake. had the brake on in under 5 minutes. only took a little longer to pry the left side of the pedal because i had to have the lip over it perfectly.

Now I just have to decide if I want to put the e-brake pedal on or not. Does anyone know if the coupe with sport comes with an aluminum e-brake pedal or do they have the normal rubber one? Trying to keep it as factory as possible since it's a lease.

 

lol. Wow. 30 miuntes? I read earlier it would've been hard, but I didn't like the idea of soaking my brand new pedals in water or holding them under a hair dryer. So when I got the pedals and was about to install the break pedal I just used some muscle. Took me less than a minute to put the break pedal on. Really, we're making it a pain in the *** because we're not willing to put the strength in. We'd rather spend 15+ minutes using as little strength necessary to get it on when we could just put some force into it and be done in a minute. And "Yes.", the break is on securely.
